Internet wisdom holds that mortgages are financial commodities to buy in seconds on the web. We disagree.

San Francisco homes frequently sell in the millions of dollars, so we believe that mortgages shouldn’t be measured by price alone.

For a personal investment of that magnitude, many successful people expect more than a low interest rate. What differentiates loans for Glass-Moore clients is the personal care and skill of the lending officer – best found in direct contact with a private portfolio lender vs. loans-on-the-web or mass-market mortgage brokers.

This is especially important to busy buyers with special issues such as out-of-town funds, stock options, investment portfolios, salary vs. bonus, dual incomes, sole proprietorships, trusts, separate vs. community property, powers of attorney, 1031 exchanges, co-signers, etc.

When these buyers put a loan on a residence with a short close they want a local lending officer who knows which appraiser to call personally to get the job done tomorrow. And they want all the documentation handled professionally and carefully, with no last-minute surprises before close of escrow.
